Member Growth & Engagement

NYC Metro, Hybrid

Aligned Marketplace is an Advanced Primary Care Marketplace connecting self-insured employers with advanced and direct primary care doctors nationwide. Our vision is to connect 160M+ American employees and their families to better, more affordable care that was previously not available to them. Employers have historically struggled to reach this kind of care. These doctors are concentrated in limited geographies, high-risk members are hard to engage, benefits are scattered across too many point solutions, and direct contracting is complicated. Aligned solves all of it by opening access to these doctors through one contract, communicating directly with members, and managing outcomes-based payments to doctors as we pursue our mission to increase America's healthy years.

You will be joining a mission-oriented team at a Series A, n of 1 startup working to connect 500K+ current members across the country to independent advanced and direct primary care. You will be highly impactful with visibility across the company in an evolving but demanding role that will enable you to operate with extreme ownership!

The Role

You will be joining a small, high-ownership team whose job is to move members from stranger to engaged patient — and keep them there. Member growth at Aligned is not a marketing function. It is a product and data function that uses marketing channels, and this role sits at the center of that work.

As our Member Growth & Engagement Manager, you will own two of the most consequential moments in the member journey: getting a member who has selected an Aligned provider to complete their first clinical visit, and closing the feedback loop after that visit happens. The first is a friction problem — identifying and eliminating every barrier between a member’s decision to engage and their actual experience of care. The second is an operational and product problem — collecting NPS and Access score feedback systematically, and routing that signal to the right people so it sharpens both the product and the outreach over time.

This role works closely with our data and outreach function internally, with the head of product and operations, and with the APC & Specialty Account Management & Operations team — because many of the friction points between selection and first visit live at the provider group level, not just in the product.

What You’ll Do

  • Own visit conversion rate — the share of members who select an Aligned provider and follow through to a completed first visit — and drive it up
  • Diagnose friction across the full journey from outreach moment to completed visit: scheduling experience, communication touch points, provider detail pages, and handoffs between product surfaces
  • Bring a clear PM point of view on what needs to change and work across internal teams and provider groups to make it happen
  • Own the post-visit feedback collection system — NPS and Access scores — including touchpoint design, response rates, and data quality
  • Route feedback signal to the right stakeholders: product and framework decisions to the head of product and operations, outreach triggers (especially negative experience signals) to the data and outreach team
  • Partner with the APC & Specialty Account Management & Operations team to surface and resolve provider-level friction —scheduling processes, onboarding experience, communication handoffs
  • Work with the data and outreach team to ensure Goal 2 and Goal 3 insights are informing campaign targeting and re-engagement logic
  • Explore and evaluate new channels — including AI-powered outreach — for their potential to reduce friction and improve visit conversion

What We’re Looking For

  • ~4 years of experience in product management, growth, or a closely related role — you have shipped things, measured their impact, and iterated
  • Strong product instincts — you can diagnose a broken member or customer journey, identify root causes, and propose specific, prioritized fixes
  • Experience designing or running feedback and measurement systems — you know what makes a feedback loop useful vs. noisy
  • Comfortable working across teams to get things done —you can influence without authority and know how to work with operations, providers, and product stakeholders at the same time
  • Analytical enough to work with structured data, interpret conversion metrics, and flag what matters — you don’t need to be a data scientist but you think quantitatively
  • Strong written and verbal communication — you write clearly, synthesize well, and can make a complex member journey problem legible to a range of stakeholders
  • Healthcare, health insurance, or consumer health background preferred but not required — what matters most is the combination of product thinking and operational rigor

Why This Role

Most member engagement in healthcare is an afterthought — a generic email, a forgotten app, a benefits portal nobody opens. At Aligned, it is one of the most technically and strategically interesting problems in the company. The outreach and member experience work here is data-driven, clinically informed, and directly tied to whether people get better care and whether the business works. This role has visibility across the company, genuine ownership of outcomes that matter, and a chance to build something that did not exist before.
